A study by analyst firm research2guidance claims that the mobile application market place could grow from a $1.94 billion business in 2009 to a $15.65 billion business in 2013; a growth rate of around 807%. The study also predicts the smart phone user base to grow from 100 million to 1 billion in that same time frame. Numbers like these should certainly get the attention of major corporations and could be the motivating factor in the proliferation of corporate mobile applications. Currently, only 10% of the Fortune 2000 is engaging their customer base with a mobile application. NAM has developed a road map to be part of this fast growing market. The Android based applications will be the first phase of the map followed by I phone and Face book.
